Practical Ashtanga Vinyasa session
Vinyasa method has the composition of "breath and movement”. In this session, through the practice we create the stability of the body needed for meditation. The Vinyasa method is built by three fundamental elements; Asana or posture with synchronised Breath, Bandhas (energy lock) and Drishti (concentration). The Ashtanga primary series created by Sri Pattabhi Jois is our base to build and develop this practice, through a series of asanas on an established sequence. The student starts creating his own practice or "sadhana" under the guidance of the teacher who later guides the practitioner posture by posture. The theory of the method can only be understood by the practice itself. The step is to understand the sequences in the series. Daily practice in the traditional Mysore method is systematic and progressive in nature. Poses are introduced to the practitioner according to his or her preparedness to practice. The structure of the Ashtanga practice will create a pathway for the student and teacher to grow according to his own personal development and time.
