Dedicated Hours Of Teaching On Practical Techniques

The first and the foremost areas of study are Techniques, Training and Practice of yogic discipline. This entire paper of practical teaching is further segmented into components of Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga and Meditation. Being an aspirant of yoga, we believe that you, as a practitioner need to delve deeper into the practical teaching of yoga. Therefore, there are two sessions dedicated to our course for Asana (Hatha Yoga pose) and Pranayama (Breathing Technique) practices and, one session on meditation every day. In the morning session of Hatha Yoga, the focus of teaching will be on techniques of Traditional Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, Mudra (Yogic psycho-physical gestures), Bandha (psycho-energetic locks) and Shatkriyas (Cleansing techniques of Hatha Yoga) whereas, evening practical sessions

Intensive Meditation Sessions

In our 200 Hours Yoga Teacher Training course program, Meditation forms an integral and most important stage of a yogic journey. Meditation in most of the yoga retreats or yoga classes is ignored. The main focus of teachers is to teach ‘Yogasana’. But, without incorporating meditation in one’s Sadhana, the journey of yoga is incomplete. The entire focus of classical teaching of Patanjali is to reach the state of consciousness, free from fluctuations and dissipations as it is mentioned in the second verse of Patanjali Yoga Sutra which also outlines the intended goal of yoga: yogashchittavrittinirodhah ||2|| Yoga is the cessation of all fluctuations (Vritti) of consciousness. At Rishikesh yogis, we teach a very diverse range of meditation techniques sourced from authentic

Becoming a Teacher

The second paper of syllabus is Teaching Methodology. This includes topics, such as Elements of Effective Class Presentation, Effective Class Management and Business Aspects of Teaching Yoga. We believe that after becoming a teacher, you own a lot of responsibilities, not simply as an instructor in a class but also becoming an inspiration, a role model and an accomplished technician of yogic teaching. Learning a set of asanas and meditation sessions do not make one an effective teacher. We strive to share with our practitioners not only the nuances of class teachings, but also about the discipline and ethics of a Yoga teacher. Apart from teaching the technical aspects of class teaching, we encourage very interactive and vibrant discussions on various aspects of yogic life style and
